Hey friends! As promised, I went live on Instagram Friday, July 8th at 10 am to make a sock on my circular sock machine. It's totally fine if you missed it - I saved it on my IGTV!

I made a shorty sock with a heel tab - my absolute favorite thing to wear on my feet.

I'm considering attempting to make it into a pattern for hand-knitting, but I'm not sure if I'm up to the task! Perhaps I'll reach out to a knitwear designer or tech editor friend to see if we can come up with something.

Anyway, it's totally fun to watch socks get made on the sock machine, but I also know it's pretty crucial to see speckled & variegated colorways knit up before buying. So that's what I did here with Day Lily! I had a poll between Day Lily and Sycamore Bark in my IG Stories, but you guys loved them equally, so I just chose myself.

I'll be announcing the date for the upcoming shop update soon, so stay tuned for that! And I hope to have pictures & previews of all of the yarn colorways coming within a week.

What I CAN tell you now is

  • There are 8 colorways.
  • I dyed up a batch of High Twist Merino Sock which will be ready to ship.
  • Rustic Luxe Single Ply and Columbia DK will be available for preorder, as well as any High Twist Merino Sock colorways that sell out. These will have a 2-3 week turnaround.
  • There will be 8 sweater-sized project bags ready to ship! I tie-dyed these myself and they feature a metal zipper, sturdy handle, interior flap pockets (that are the perfect size), and an interior metal zipper pocket.

Also pictured! The fabric I iced dyed is currently being made into several shirts, and a widdle pouch I finally finished is the Petal Pouch by Noodlehead made from fabric scraps that I quilted.

That's all for today. I'm so excited to share my first Offically Official Shop Update with you!

Love you, mean it.
